HOW TO GET TO PAXOS
Via Car, Bus or Ferry Boat:
To reach Paxos you need to drive or take the bus from Athens to Igoumenitsa on the mainland and then take the ferry boat to the port in Paxos. The ferry boat journey takes approx 1hr 30minutes and there are regular services on a daily basis. Most people visit Paxos by boat from the nearby island of Corfu, which has many daily routes by ferry boat, hydrofoil or sea taxi.
Aeroplane:
As there is no airport on Paxos, most visitors to the island arrive via boat from either Corfu or the mainland, but there is also a seaplane service from Corfu four times a day with the flight time being approx 10 minutes.
To reach the island by air, take a daily flight from the airport at El Venizelos Airport, Athens to Corfu airport. Several airlines fly between Athens and Corfu and the flight takes approx 1 hour.
There are also charter flights from many European airports directly to Corfu operating in the summer months between May and October.
