HOW TO GET TO KEFALONIA
Via Car, Bus or Ferry Boat:
To reach Kefalonia by car you must first drive to the port of Kyllini located on the west coast of the mainland of Greece, 70km from Patras. From the port of Kyllini there are regular daily ferries to the port of Kefalonia which takes approx. one hour. Besides the port of Kyllini, Kefalonia is also linked to the Patras port.
A bus service operates daily from Athens or Patras, including tickets for the ferry boat which will take you directly to Kefalonia.
Aeroplane:
To reach the island by air there are daily flights from the Athens airport to Kefalonia. The flight takes about 50 minutes.
There are also charter flights from many European airports directly to Kefalonia operating in the summer months between May and October.
